Can laxatives cause stomach problems?

Since isolation I have had extremely bad body positively due to the lack of exercise I can do.

I’ve been so scared of putting on weight that I’ve started taking latitudes to prevent it. After some research I realised they don’t help and can actually be pretty bad for you so I stopped.

However now I have major stomach cramps, indigestion, and trapped wind from my pelvic area right up to my chest. Could this be due to taking the laxatives for is it another issue?

🤔 It could have nothing to do with the laxatives, but you never know.

Laxatives can be an effective remedy for increasing bowel movements and preventing constipation. However, laxative use is unlikely to lead to long-lasting weight loss. Furthermore, laxative abuse can come with many dangerous health effects, including dehydration, electrolyte imbalances and dangerous health conditions.15 Oct 2017
