I am 45 years old. I have a normal like clockwork period every 28 to 30 days. I have light to moderate flow for 3 months and every forth month is heavy. This has been my cycle for 20 years .
My periods are 4 to five days long. Last month on day 28 I started as usual but spotted for 8 days (not even enough to wear a tampon). My tubes are tied but I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Now this month same thing I'm on day two of my cycle and just barely spotting brown blood. With this COVID 19 thing we are sheltered in place and even if my gyno could see me id be traveling deeper into the outbreak to go. Has anyone ever heard of this or done something like this? It's got me a bit freaked out as I have every sign of menstruation (mood pms cramps ect..) But just light spotting.

🤔 It is possible that you are entering perimenopause, but you’d need to have a blood test to monitor hormone levels in order to confirm this. It isn’t critical to have this result, but if you experience abnormal pain, or blood loss, contact your GP. Otherwise ask to have hormone levels tested when the current situation returns to normal.
Im 44 and my periods have always been regular 28 days, late last year i had a period 2 weeks after one, then they returned to normal however last month had a 23 day cycle and month before 41 day cycle, never had this happen before, i havent had spotting but since may last year have been experiencing a jelly like stringy blob (i know too much info) nearly every month, i think im starting perimenopause but have had 3 lots bloods in last year which say im not, i have also been experiencing a whole list of other symptons, havent been on contraception either for around 13 years, have no idea whats going on.
