It is normal to get discharge in between periods. You said it was discharge, which is not a period.

Keep a log of anything and if you find you cycles are changing, visit your doctor

Think it will turn into a period. Brown not clear like usual.

I think a bit of spotting is fine a few days after your period, so just wait and see what's happening.

Not wanting to bring up the menopause word, but it can start to cause some weird things to happen 10 years before it's due to hit. This could be a very early pre-menopause thing too.

What if it becomes a period

If it becomes a period, then perhaps have a word with your GP.

I wouldn't write off the prospect of kids on this basis, it's just a theory on my part, and suggests you have at least 10 years before menopause hits. A lot of women have a fertility surge around that point too :)

It’s weird I have full blown period pain.

Hi there, i started exactly the same around 37. I was always like clockwork. Then all of a sudden I started to have 2 periods in one month, the second would only be tiny tho. So I went the doc's and I was given a smear and ultrasound. Everything was fine, so I was advised to keep track of my periods. So now at 39 they can be 21 days inbetween. I still randomly spot which can be a pain. The docs advise was that i was starting the perimenopause! Which i thought was impossible at 39. But apparently it can. But I do have more symptoms. I'm always angry like I'm constantly due on and I've put a lot of weight on around my stomach 🙈. I was started on hrt, but I stopped due to painful varicose veins etc. But if this has only happened just the once it could be stress or change or diet etc. I wouldn't worry about it, just make an appointment at the docs and see what they suggest. Hope it all goes well. Take care ☺️

So it’s normal?

Yeah, even medication can change your period's. I remember I started a diet years ago and my periods went haywire. But after a couple of months it went back to normal. Obviously I think you should still see your doctor and tell them what's going on, she may advise an ultrasound. But if this has only just started they will probably say just keep an eye on it. I know it's scary when it hasn't happened b4. But I had at least 6 months with 2 periods in each month. And I'm still having periods now. I hope this has helped and your not as worried.☺️

Oh, well I think they can mess with your cycle aswell. My advice is that you ring and make an appointment for your smear as swn as your doc's open. Because I think until you've had 1 you will worry about alsorts of things. I know they are embarrassing but it only lasts a couple of mins. I've got mine at the end of the week.

You do know you can start menopause at 40 I would recommend trying to sort freezing your eggs if your single and want kids

Sorry !didn’t want to scare you that’s why you should ask your g.p my friend had hers at 40 she only had one child in her very late 30s couldn’t have more due to menopause.be wise to find out if nhs do anything in regards to egg freezing since you don’t have any kids yet and are single they usually prioritise people with no children x
