Are three ultrasounds enough to rule out anything sinister? I’ve had this lump in my left breast since (I found it) in March or April. Since then I’ve had about three ultrasounds of it- my most recent being about a month ago. In the midst of a panic attack 😞 initially it was thought to be a Fibroadenoma - that’s what the obgyn thought it was based off feeling it, it does feel like that. - but the ultrasound tech and the radiologist said no Fibroadenoma just fibrocystic change / tissue. It does cause random pain. All scans said the same... I’m so depressed and anxious and just feel like I can’t move on. I’ve struggled with severe health anxiety for the past year and a half. One thing after another.

🤔 Any Breast lump is likely to raise anxiety levels. It’s one thing to heed advice about reporting it to your GP, but something else when differing reports come back from Specialists.
I found a distinct hard lump, not obvious in the morning but unmissable later in the day. Next morning I was seen by a Nurse at my local Health Centre, after hearing my explanation and feeling the lump, she conferred with a doctor who sent me for a Mammogram.
After seeing the results of the Mammogram, a doctor decided I should have a biopsy to confirm if the lump was cancer or benign. And I had the result in less than an hour.
It seems likely that since neither of your Specialists recommended a biopsy, that there’s nothing untoward happening.
Could it be that you accept this reasoning, but need some Counselling re Stress and Anxiety 🤔
I’ve been an ultrasound tech for 17 years and the last 7 years in a dedicated breast center. I would trust the radiologist. Fibroadenomas are very common especially in younger patients and so is fibrocystic changes and dense breasts. If it’s was something that’s ‘probably benign’ you would come back for another ultrasound every 6 months for about 2 years. If it changes or grows during that time than they would do a biopsy. Breast tissue is very complicated it fluctuates some much with our hormones. I would trust the report but if something feels different go back to your primary and get it checked out.
