Depends how long you've been on it? I had to come off it in the past as I had a period for 10 weeks straight so just didn't work for me

My periods where the worst pain ever ended up in a and e unable to walk at one point, a breakthrough one is usually really light flow and brownish in colour no cramps either only last a day or 2, the fact its been 6 months I would mention it and they can maybe try another pill?

I think you should discuss it with your doctor.

The "period" you get on the pill is actually a withdrawal bleed, which happens because you stop taking the hormones. It's not normal to get a withdrawal bleed while still taking the hormones, so I'd want the doctor to double check everything is ok.
