Buttock Injection

Hi, ive just got the injection contraceptive today and i’m a little unsure about it. the nurse said i can have sex with the injection. is this possible?

I think how soon you can have safe sex depends on where you were in your cycle when you had the injection and what your previous contraception was. I guess your nurse would of asked about your cycle to say you were safe straight away. i think it's just if you are near ovulation they would say to use condoms as well. I think i had my first injection straight after a period so I was ok to have sex without a condom.

I was on the injection 2 years and it worked perfectly as a contraception. I only came off the injections when My body n mood felt like I needed to have a period. I didn't have any periods whilst I was on it.
