I’ve tried googling but haven’t got an answer. I was put on Cerazette at the start of the month. I know I have to start my next packet straight away but does that mean I still get a period?

So confused google doesn’t make this clear enough for me lol. Help?? Will be greatly appreciated

Is cerazette a contraceptive pill?

If so, some types are made to be taken continuously so there is no monthly menstruation.

The doctor that prescribed it should have explained this to you, or perhaps it's on the leaflet that should be in the box or bottle label.

Not sure if this will help as I'm peri menopausal so maybe hormones involved but when I started taking cerazette I did get some v light bleeding, not sure you would call it a period. It was say panty liner rather than a tampon period. Maybe for a day or 2 sometimes just half a day. I was put on cerazette because I was having very heavy periods (didn't know that happened in peri menopause)

i had to stop cerazette after a several months as it gave me nausea....so bad I could only stomach plain pancakes with an orange squeezed over them! I was then switched to a more natural form of progesterone ...think it was called noriday.

Hi Butterfly20 :) i've just been put on cerazette too and believe that around 50% will still have periods, 35% will have irregular periods and around 15% have no bleeding at all. I hope i'm in the latter as no periods sounds like a dream!! :)

I tended to have a very light period every 28 days, but not everyone will.

I used to my on this type of contraceptive pill. This is a mini pill or POP pill (progesterone only pill) which usually stops your period all together for most women or just a light period when your period is due. I was on this pill for 10 months and I only had a period a month after taking it and was period free for 9 months
