No menstrual period for the mast 4 months, mood swings, crying for no reason, not able to lose weight. Anyone can relate? I’m 42 and I think I already started menopause.

Menopause starting at 40’s

Hi there Cabrita, I’m 50 and had it confirmed by a blood test that I’ve started the menopause. Ow my goodness no one warned me about this one!! My biggest problem is memory! I honestly thought I had the start of dementia. I constantly had that moments of walking into a room and forgetting why I’m there. Or making a cup of tea and going to put milk in the cups three times, putting something in the oven and forgetting. My worst one is driving, I have seen me wracking my brain to try and remember where I’m going! as I’m driving along the road. I could laugh at that at the beginning but then I cried. I had a chat to my sister in law who totally understood as she had similar symptoms. I’ve now been on a low dose HRT for 5 months and it has taken the edge of it. It doesn’t help having a husband and two grown up sons who think it’s funny they think it’s hysterical me crying at everything. I suppose a sense of humour will help. Take care. Jen
