Well I started the C25K last night, I thought it was going to be easy but nearly gave up on the 7th minute of running. I stuck with it though and am going to do the next run on Friday. Anyone else found it difficult. I thought I was quite fit but obvioulsy not :(

I started it about 11 weeks ago and graduated on Good Friday. This week I managed to run for over an hour non stop and for over 10km.

I've never been able to run previously to C25K! I was ready to pack it at the start as I found it that hard, I could not breath, my right leg/hip/knee/groin hurt like crazy, I was sweating and definitely did not feel like a runner, but I stuck to it, and I, like many others on the C25K community are proof that the plan works. At the beginning it's very hard to be able to see how just running for a few minutes can build to 30 minutes of non stop running. Then there is W5 R3 "The Gate Way Run" it's a massive jump from what comes previous, it's quite scary but you just need to trust the plan 100%, listen and do as Laura says in each podcast and you will by the end of week 9 be able to run for 30 minutes non stop, guaranteed :)

Good Luck With it.

I agree with olsbean - I am week 3. Week 1 was ok becasue i was running in beautiful spain - but found running for a minute more than enough thank you...then week two - that extra 30 seconds felt huge. But I have to say week 3 I am finding a bit of a breeze - but i am dreading week 4 - it feels like a big jump. -

What has been a joy to discover though is finally at Week 3 R2 -I regarded going for a run as a treat as opposed to something to grit my teeth and force myself to do.

Do keep at it- the early running days do shake you up a bit - but it will get better - think of it as an investment in yourself. Did you go out today???
