just finished my 2nd run of week one, and today my "brisk" walk at the end was actually brisk but as I run I get shooting pain up the front of both shins, and I was wondering is it just a bad technique or is it just my muscles wondering why they aren't sitting down anymore??

You shouldn't get shooting pains up your shins full stop.
It could be a sign of shin splints or bad technique or both. It sounds like you are on C25K, have you asked in the C25K forum to see if anybody has the same problem?
If it doesn't hurt walking, try building that up and running again. If its still bad time to see the dr.
Thanks for your replies guys, I think you are correct, i tried to do my 3rd run of week 1 today but after the 1st minute running i was in crying in agony, its a trip to the doc and a stop put to my running for the minute, which is completely devastating!!! thanks again for taking the time to reply x
Turns out I was trying to go too hard too fast without really knowing what I was up to.
I had to rest my leg for a week then start slowly again at week one
So have re done week one finished it with out any pain because I have improved my technique. Instead of running with bad posture because I was self consciously looking at my feet. I now run properly and have completed week one starting week two tomorrow and loving it
