then before I could even respond she went on and on about how much weight she's lost on these diet pills shes taken and how skinny her face and legs and arms etc gave got.

Amazing how people are still falling for diet pills and the short term solutions, your doing it the right way, so remember the hare and the tortoise. i know what i would have said but the comment of " Not as big as your mouth" wouldnt go down well.
I had one neighbour who always asked me when the baby was due when i was seriuosly overweight. I've lost 70kg now, and his wife eventually asked the girlfriend if i could give any advice as her husband needed to lose weight now, i was tempted to tell him that he could have some of my old fat clothes as i didnt need them anymore. I know it was childish but revenge is sweet, but instead i took him to the gym and explained how i did it. Made him sweat and i will help him to lose, maybe thats revenge enough.
Hang in there and remember that dieting is not just about the loss weight but the complete health package, its a journey and your on the right path.
Mind you if they had a Mother inlaw Pill i would be sorely tempted to take it
I'd steer clear of diet pills. Losing weight gradually is hard work but much better for your health and you're much more likely to keep it off in the long term.
Mainly they work by stopping the absorption of fat in the intestines, and so it just comes straight out.
Is she still on the pills? If she is, while you are out for your Indian you could always take comfort in the fact that she will not be having a nice time later on.
