never getting full on a safe amount of calories?? 😭

what can I do if I can never get full on a appropriate amount of calories and even high volume veggies make it challenging to stick to a calorie deficit 😭

I am eating mindfully, well rested, drinking liters of water as much as I can, eating a lot of protein from eggs and chickpeas and fish, healthy fat and fiber etc that is all considered. But the problem is the VOLUME and portion control it’s super hard to always have to stop and restrict once the calories are reached but I am still soooooo hungry 😭😭

So for example broccoli is already about 30cal per 100g. So if I have 3 bags frozen broccoli (1kg each) that’s already 900cal just from a side. Then 600g chicken breast and its already reaching my TDEE juss for lunch. I also like bell peppers but they’re like 180cal for a 500g net and I can just eat 4-6 of that or again 1000cal for literally just a side of veggies. No way I CAN fit this into my daily 2300calories without overeating on it, and I don’t get full from any of it.

What else can be done 😭

Hello and welcome. Here is a link to help you with information about what the forum offers healthunlocked.com/weight-l....

Do have a good look around and read the links. The Daily Diary is a good place to look for meal ideas and post your plans. You might like to join our Weigh In and post your start weight.

If you are eating plenty of protein and healthy fats you shouldn't be hungry. Plenty of fresh vegetables are great way to fill up.

Do join in as much as possible and you will get lots of support

Maybe your calorie allowance isn't sufficient for your current weight

Hello Max, do please post on the weekly weigh in and the daily diary - it really does help.

I’m making assumptions here: that you are a tall, well built person normally; you are from US.(cos of spelling!). Have you looked on one of those websites to check how many grams of protein you should be eating? (something like one gram for every kilogram of weight). It looks like you don’t eat meat? I find that I have to work pretty hard to get sufficient protein from other sources, and that meat is far more filling. I’m still experimenting though.

You are eating vast quantities of vegetables but you are still hungry. Eating them with butter, olive oil, cream will make them more filling and is consistent with a Low Carb High Fat way of losing weight. Are you following a particular method?

Please do join the Daily Diary and tell us more about yourself. Lots of people will chip in with ideas and give you encouragement when things get difficult. Have a good week.

Not what you're looking for?
