I have been overweight for many years. I have been caring for a lot of people around me and sadly things changed last year 😢.
This year I am trying to live in the ‘present’ and focus on me. I’m planning on joining the sports club near me next week and doing aqua aerobics. One step at a time

Hello and welcome to our friendly and supportive forum. It sounds like you have been through a rough time recently. I think you will find many people here who are/have been in a similar situation. Unfortunately caring responsibilities do mean that we do not take care of ourselves and gain weight and our health suffers because of it.
It is good you have decided this year to focus on yourself and I'm sure you will benefit from it. Exercise definitely helps. You might like to join the Fit is Fun club which is for exercise. Here is a link to help you find your way around and find all the clubs and challenged we offerhealthunlocked.com/weight-l...
You might like to start by posting your start weight on the Weigh In. The Daily Diary is good for meal ideas and posting your meal plans. Exercise is great but you may need to review what you are eating and decide on a plan to follow. You will find we follow different plans and can help you decide what works for you.
Hi there, I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles. You have been strong and brave whilst taking care of others and now it's the time to gift this to yourself. Joining the sports club and trying aqua aerobics sounds fun. I always striggled with aqua as I'm too short and they had the pool level too high ha ha. Still it is a fun and healthy way to enjoy the present. You are absolutely right, one step at a time is the best approach. Make your steps so easy you can tick them off with ease and celebrate daily. I hope you have a wonderful time at the club and meet some supportive friends.
