Ok so here goes . I used to be very overweight over 25 stone and I lost weight naturally. I discovered I had a lot of issues with food that bought on a lot of digestion problems so I cut out a lot of food groups and kind of healed myself with that I lost a lot of weight .of course completely taking away take aways etc . So I don't eat dairy red meat nor potatoes rice or pasta I found these foods to be my problem foods .Anyway so I've been maintaing myself at a weight I am good with 11stone 7 and I weighed today and my scales now I dont think they are that great say I'm either 12stone ,11.10 or 11.9 . Now if I am honest I am totally beside myself and don't see where or how the weight has done this I don't binge I technically have a fasting lifestyle and only eat twice a day small portions . I've started to add some new things in my diet but more so nuts dried fruits that kind of thing but I do not binge eat I eat with my one meal and it is a mere handful truly I am gutted I know it is a great achievement how much weight I've lost if I'm honest I do obsess about my weight and what can I do to loose possibly 5lbs it makes me about anxious to say that.

I don't drink acholol coffee or tea .

Any tips really gutted

Hello Peanutbutterplease and welcome to Weight Loss support

Congratulations on the weight you lost, coming down from 25 stone to 11 stone 7 is amazing.

It does sound like you have a healthy approach to your diet, and the difference you record, between 11st 7 and what you have recently recorded is not a great deal. You have also mentioned that the scales may not be accurate, and that might be something to check.

If you have some anxiety about your weight try and look at the journey you've achieved, be kind to yourself and try to relax.

Our community is made up of members who are, or have been on a weight loss journey, and you may benefit from chatting to people in our Maintainers Club. We also have a Fit is Fun Group, as well as our Daily Diary where people record what their menu plans are for the day.

I've added the link to all of our groups below. Have a look and join in, you will be made very welcome.

Good luck :)

Hi Peanutbutterplease and welcome. When my scales jump up and down like that it's usually time for a new battery. Well done for introducing some new things to your diet but please remember that nuts are healthy but quite high in calories and dried fruit tends to be high in sugar, this may help you to lose that little extra. :)

HI Peanut butter. I lost 4 and a half stone then for no reason gained 5 pounds in a week. not sure why. I am losing it again now. Bodies are funny things. They have their up and downs the trick is to keep doing what you know works for you rather than think O sod it I might as well eat what I like etc.

Someone put a post about hormonal changes and the lifestyle I had in my 20’s eating rubbish and drinking too much didn’t affect the slim me . Now aged 63 I only have to look at a cake , crisps , ice cream etc which I seriously don’t have much of yet my weight can rapidly increase with 1 event or food changes on holiday . I lost 18kg in 2018 and the first 12kg was easy as I did really change my food and joined Zumba classes . I am now trying to shed a very stubborn 5kg as I feel my body loves this new weight gain -weird but true . Unless I really exercise which at moment I have serious winter blues but stick to my regular food then it will not shift . Only 3 Zumba classes a week , swimming and 10k walking will probably help drop - maybe 3kg but any lapse and on it goes and on it stays .

Well done on your loss so far. Have you considered seeing a qualified Nutritional Therapist that specializes in weight management and so may be able to take you further? I can send a link from which to choose one, if you wish
