Cleanse
Hi Amosmoses it's great to see you back. Last time youwere here you were maintaining, how's that going? I've found that there's no quick way to lose weight, we need to change our life styles around a little until we find the healthiest, most sustainable way to live.
I'm sure that you can remember your way around but if you can't I suggest that you begin at the pinned posts. Just click on the link below, scroll down until you find a post which interests you, click on the title to open the post. If you want to see another one just start again.

As always we find that participation is the key to success. The Daily Diary and the weekly Weigh In are very good places to begin.
Hi Amosmoses, what do you think needs cleansing? If we have lungs, kidneys and skin in good working order, then they will do all the cleansing we need. Is it something specific you're thinking about?
What's the point of cleansing if you're going to continue to eat a bad diet? Excess weight is just a symptom of a bad diet and lifestyle.
I have maintained for almost 3 years now but i notice a few pound creeping back on even tho I continue to exercise and eat right. I hear at the gym of people doing cleanse's but never really paid to much attention to them or asked questions. I have heard that every once and a while we need to do a toxic flush. Just seeing if anyone else has done or heard of this
After my operation for hiatus hernia I was on a restricted liquid diet for a month so had to research what I could actually put in a liquidiser 3 times a day . I keyed into cleansing but I only managed to maintain this as I wasn't working so had total control of my time and could plan / shop for the products then started weaning onto solid foods . So I ate crazy amounts of unprocessed foods so for me it was anything pure .Most carbs were veg based . Only had brown carbs - rice and pasta plus oats . I found a lot of the info I sourced then encouraged me to buy supplements. This can be big business and you don't need them . I lost 5lb the first week with no exercise then an average of 3lb per week but the thinking , planning , buying of food can take over everything else . You then have to maintain this which if you have any social life or don't have like minded friends can be difficult . I had hardly any dairy or meat but ate a fair amount of fish cooked with herbs and spices with mixed beans and salad with no dressing .Try onions and peppers for a stronger taste. Mentally for me it was too much . We all know what to / not to eat . Drink plenty of water , balance your food and long term enjoy a few treats . If you want group motivation try a yoga class . Cleansing is great short term but don't let it dominate your thoughts . Good for a kick start but ensure you have balance in your diet and plenty of fresh air and exercise.
