Things we thought we knew that have no real basis. This is a presentation from last year.
If you are calorie counting there are some interesting results on long term experiment calorie counting at the 10-12min point

Thanks for that, AnnieW55. It was well worth taking the time to watch it through.
She's a great speaker, as well as having the facts at her fingertips.
Yes. There are quite a few of her talks un You Tube. The Public Health Collaboration which is a charity founded by among others Dr David Unwin have lots of interesting presentations.
Zoe Harcombe talks so much sense and this is a 'must watch' for everyone. Thanks for sharing, AnnieW55.
Have read her book-very interesting stuff
moreless and Hidden . There are so many, interesting and knowledgeable people out there trying to help and with excellent information that don’t get through to the general public, wonder who/what is blocking them 😉 - no conspiracy theories from me! It’s just finding them. If you haven’t come across them yet there are also good podcasts/You Tube videos from Fat & Furious.
I've read/watched dozens of videos, papers, blogs. It just amazes me that mainstream information is still able to get away with what it does!
Well there’s so much money invested by what I call frankenfoods and Big Pharma they’ve got a bit of a stranglehold on ‘breakthroughs’ (sensible options) that will cost them money. That and many people preferring the easy option of handing their health over to these giants doesn’t bode well for getting the massive changes needed easily made.
Thanks for this link, she talks so much sense. It is interesting that so much information quoted in the diet industry is funded by or has links to businesses with a financial interest in keeping us on the diet circuit. After 50 years of dieting I am looking eating more natural foods and have to say it is definitely a cheaper way of eating. It does make me avoid whole sections of supermarkets though, hence the savings! Shedding the guilt about weight and focusing on feeling healthy and eating real food that makes me feel good is my motto for the rest of my life.
That’s a good plan. Know what you mean about time saved shopping, even with my penchant for reading food labels, I go down so few aisles it doesn’t take long at all.
And that diet treadmill is costing us thousands whilst making them millions - it isn't likely to change any time soon.

What some food companies are allowed to do to consumers through Marketing is completely shameful.
Please if you have time take a look at the book The Obesity Code. It's a slap on our faces.
Yes, I worked in marketing (not food) many years ago but the art of getting people to buy what you want them to is so developed now it’s scary.
