Sorry you are struggling right now and feeling exhausted and out of sorts.

It is horrible when you can't sleep and lack energy.

I get the impression a lot of people are having sleep problems right now, I know I am, and it can be very debilitating.

I am not eating as healthily as I was prior to the Corona situation, for various reasons I have somewhat lost the plot. I have been thinking about it and I think I just need to take a deep breath and start steadily turning things around again. I know from past experience when I eat the wrong things it leads to me eating more of the wrong things! So I need to put that process in to reverse. Turning it around again starts with the first step.

Enjoy your day of rest and take care of yourself and hopefully you will feel a bit better :)

Great advice. I wish I had read this before deciding two biscuits a day wouldn't hurt. Then people at work have made cakes so I felt I had to. Its true that once you start it is hard to stop and 😌

I have to be honest the two biscuits and cake at work never work out well for me! :) It just tends to set off cravings later in the day... Next minute I am eating the wrong stuff at home at night too!!

I have lost it at work during this Corona thing, but I am determined to turn it around now :)

Hi Wordsworth2. Have not had a great week so far either. I change my mind so much and download apps ,delete them, count calories, do intuitiv e eating and it doesn't help. Sometimes you can ruminate too much and having a day of reflection will help. Keep going though and think about how well you have done. There is no wrong or right way and you will probably feel different by tomorrow. You support everyone here and it is much appreciated 😁

Hope you are feeling better soon. I commend you for recognising how you are feeling and taking some time to recover. Enjoy your day off and relax

Be kind to yourself. If you are still struggling after today, can you slowly add back in those good habits? I sometimes find it too much to do everything at once if I have bad habits. Getting rid of one at a time might help.

Hi WW2! Have you thought about doing a bit of writing - writing down why you are feeling this way, what is it that's making you feel negative at the mo. Starting back at school - fitting your new life into your old life, are you feeling a bit fed up that you're putting in all this effort and the scales aren't shifting, why am I getting up early in the morning and exercising and not seeing results, why is it that when I eat all those nice things I pile the pounds on and others don't, I wanna sit and drink beer with my mates watching the footie, why don't I look like Beyonce?! (yeah, I know you're a bloke so you're unlikely to have Beyonce envy - watched her set at Glastonbury last night on telly!)

Comparing these thoughts to how we feel when we are eating, exercising and feeling good about ourselves can help us re-focus. We all go through a fed-up, bored with it all stage. But the reason we started on this road in the first place is to find a better way of living that helps us feel good and feel better about ourselves, get ourselves out of that diet/binge/diet cycle.

C'mon WW2 - you can do it, find that mojo again. You have been going for it lately with all the exercise and the walking - you do more steps in a day than others do in a week - maybe focus on the bits that you enjoy and the rest will come back.

If you’ve done 177 days If you have a day off good for you. You may just want to take a bit of pressure Off yourself not go daft but just aim stay the same for a while. Reflect on what you’ve achieved and congratulations on your amazing weight loss.

I’m wobbling a bit I’m 66 and the weight is only come off a pound a week which I think is disappointing. I’m upping the exercise but unfortunately came off my bike yesterday it’ll take me a while for my cuts and grazes to heal before I can start again. I’m off sailing in four weeks so I need to lose loads so I’m not struggling climbing off marinas up into the yacht and I also need to move fast.

Good luck Sean give yourself a break and have a treat to look forward to.

I’m really sorry to hear that you are still struggling 😕 You put so much effort into your exercise and avoiding temptations whilst continuing with a challenging job and doing lots of jobs around the home, plus writing and reading. I’ve always been impressed and astonished with just how much you do. Now that schools are opening again perhaps that new normal is becoming stressful on top of what you have been doing at home for the past months? It’s good that you are taking a break. Having a good look at what your priorities are for the next few months will help conserve your energies so that you can focus on the important things in your life. I hope you find your new motivation and renewed get-up-and-go after your time spent in reflection this week. May I also suggest that you have a complete restart and begin your journey at Week 1? Daily progress is great to monitor but I’m wondering if this also puts unnecessary pressure on you to succeed? Look after yourself and let us all know when you are ready to come back with us all on our weight loss journeys. 😊
