What an evening lol my 2year old dropped a paving slab on his little feet so ended up down a&e they didn’t take an X-ray as his feet / ankles are too swollen , he can walk a little but is limping , going to see how it is by lunch time and if swellings not gone down guess where I will be going again ..... you guessed it a&e lol but I’m going to try and be good with my eating despite the stress ! Xx picture of my little ones feet/ankle

I would say maybe he would learn but he never does lol it doesn’t look any better today either so going to wait a bit to see if swelling goes down x

All children are the same, sadly. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him.

I am mystified why swelling would prevent x-ray. X-rays go through all soft tissue, and broken bones are often accompanied by swelling.

That being said, they usually hurt - a lot! - so if the little one is not too distressed, it's probably not broken. But do bring him back to A&E, of course!

(I broke my elbow when I was 7 or 8. Mum said she knew it was serious, because my crying was different. My three broken bones are the three most painful things to happen to me. I bet you can guess, I don't have kids! 😂)

I took him back this morning and they don’t think it’s broken just very swollen so prob just soft tissue damage xx

Such good news. It's a worry when kids are injured.
