Thanks to all for replies. I actually managed a good day no Binge eating. I went shopping and manged to avoid the sweets and biscuit aisles. It was hard but I just have to stop buying. I can not eat it if I do not buy it.

Well done for cutting down on your sugar intake. It will be difficult if you’re addicted, but it takes about 2 weeks to ditch the cravings. Some ideas to avoid binging, eat more protein, this will help you feel fuller,Eat more fibre, drink more water. Identify your danger times, So you could perhaps have a meal then, or plan an activity you like. None of this is easy, or quick, but you can do it. you could put the money you save on biscuits etc towards a non edible treat, eg make up, clothing, books . Be kind to yourself, as the ad say ‘because you’re worth it’ good luck 😉🤗

Well done. Not buying it is definitely the easiest way to avoid eating it! Apart from anything else, you'll be surprised how much money you save on not buying junk and you'll feel justified in treating yourself to some very expensive real food (try a dry-aged, Angus steak - you won't regret it!). Those snacks are terrible value for money.

Oh that is great news 😄 well done. It does help if you don't have it in the house and you must feel much better. Just being aware is a positive action so keep at it

Wtg Vance.

The first time of changing anything is normally the most difficult and becomes easier with repetition.

Only a fellow addict would understand how hard it is to pass up on all the delicious offerings—and the sadness one feels at having no evening of treats ahead. So it’s not a momentary deprivation— it’s forgoing the immediate rush of acquiring your favourites, it’s obliging yourself to resist the well ingrained habit of a lifetime, and it’s the desolation one feels at frustrating ones desire for those much coveted treats . Bravo and tho I still find it hard, it is getting easier. Although it’s hard to get used to the idea that adding fat to your diet is good: it is. That’s the new thinking now. And it really does help sate the appetite and tamp down the cravings. The best of luck to you!
