It's up to you how many carbs a day you want to go for. These are broad definitions.
The ketogenic range is below 20 gms and many go for that for a couple of weeks to start them off on a low carb plan, then gradually increase to a more manageable level, as below 20 gms is pretty limiting.
Moderate low carb is 20-50 gms a day.
Liberal low carb is 50-100 gms a day.
Remember, when you lower carbs, you need to increase healthy fats.
You'll find a lot of useful information on this site dietdoctor.com/low-carb
As for bread, there are some good suggestions here: Is there life after bread? healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Hi fedupdieter and welcome
As BridgeGirl has mentioned, it depends on how you integrate it into your overall carb intake and if that makes things awkward, then maybe it depends upon how much you're fed up of dieting
Welcome fedupdieter
Bread is a tough one for me too, so now limit myself to some sourdough once a week, eaten with low carb foods as part of a meal (so not a snack) to moderate the total carb content. That way I don’t feel so deprived (and therefore don’t become obsessed and end up eating the whole loaf!)
Hi, fedupdieter , welcome. See "How much Carbohydrate":

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.
Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
