I’m sure this one has likely been done to death on here but I’m meeting friends after work today for food - and a couple of drinks (literally two usually)it’s girls night we meet up once a month minimum.
I’ve prepared some fruit and soya yogurt for late breakfast at work and more fruit for snacking on during the day. I also have a cereal bar with me to keep me off the biscuits and on track should I need it.
Finding healthy things to eat out is hard, I only eat fish no meat or dairy at all. I plan on having a salad with salmon and a baked potato with a couple of wine and sodas while out. I’m not a pudding person I’d rather have the wine. I know I should give that up -and it would help me but having already given up chocolate and dairy (intolerances) I’m not ready
Is there better strategies to eating out than the one I’m using? I’m not sure my saving calories in the daytime/day before is the right thing to do ? Although it’s worked for me so far ...

Looks like you've checked out the options on the menu, which is a good idea.
Regarding eating less during the day, if that works for you then fine. If it means you're ready to eat the table leg by the time evening comes, then not fine
As for tomorrow, even if you go overboard this evening, just go back to your regular eating plan: drastically cutting back will leave you hungry and that's the way to yo yo-ing. It's what we eat 95% of the time that determines our weight/health, not the occasions like this.
Regarding the alcohol, have you seen the DrinkLess club in our Pinned Posts? healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... You might find support there for managing your intake in a way that you're happy with.
In fact, the main item I'd pick up on is your cereal bar. Most of them are no better than biscuits, just packaged with a "healthy" label. It's a shame you're dairy intolerant, that does limit your options, but you might find something here you could have instead healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... , though probably too late to plan that today.
