Hi and thax for welcoming me, I need some support for my weight loss, activities etc. U should know that I have not have too much, OK I have no friends. My sister lives in Canada, I am a lonely type like

Hello TiramiSus, in the UK it gets pretty quiet on the site about now so you've a chance to explore but there won't be many replying just yet. I'm just off to 💤💤💤 myself 😁

Anyway, welcome to this Forum! You will have been sent a Welcome post on registration which gives you lots of advice and guidance on how to navigate this site. There's a lot there but it's worth taking your time to read,honest!

We recommend joining a Weekly Weigh In on the day of your choice, and using the Daily Diary, where members log their meal plans and get useful feedback and lots of support.

It would be a good idea to check out your BMI if you've not already done so..you don't need a tape measure just your weight and height and here's a link to the NHS calculator

You'll see next to your name you've been awarded your first "badge" which gives the month of you starting. If you join in the Weigh Ins regularly you'll get weight loss badges. It 's not so bad really and once you start chatting to people it starts falling into place. Sunday weigh-in and Sunday Daily Diary is open now (You'll find them under Events and also in Pinned Posts) and we do have people from Australia and USA who join in so sometimes you'll find others around about now. I'm off now but will look out for you tomorrow 👋 for now!

Welcome to this amazing forum. I'm still new here, I suggest you spend some time clicking about to find your way round. It's easier if you have a lap-top as there are several threads.

Have a good read of the pinned post “Welcome Newbies” and follow every thread.

You will find the pinned posts to the right of the home page or at the bottom ,depending which device you are using .Just click on the title.

I strongly suggest you read and contribute to the Daily Diary and participate in a weekly weigh in.

You will find there's loads of tips about better eating, from other members. Sharing your daily menu not only helps you, it can help other members too.

Welcome to you. You've taken a good step forward by joining. It's good to 'talk' to others with the same aims. I'm not so good as I ought to be with weight loss especially through food. However I am trying and also with more exercise to you. Good luck.

Hi, TiramiSus , welcome.

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
