I suffer from the fortnight curse.

I seem to stick to something for two weeks before it all goes to ruin. The curse applies not just to weight loss and healthy living but also for writing my novel, learning a language, guitar playing. Anybody else suffer from this curse ? Any advise on how to break it ?

Hi. What did you think of the replies to your previous post? There were some interesting, maybe useful, ones but you didn't respond. Was there anything there that would help with your current query?

PS you've left your post unlocked and are using a photo: do have a look at the information about Security/Privacy that IndigoBlue referred you to, for your own safety :)

Hi BridgeGirl, The replies to my post were great and I look forward to reading more. Not sure what you mean by left post unlocked ? I have changed my photo as you seem to imply it is not safe to use a photo.

If you edit your post and click on 'only community members', then instead of the entire WWW being able to read your post, only members of the Weight Loss forum will be able to read it.

Make every day the start of something new. That way you will never get to the end of that 2 weeks!

I am pretty much the same! Start loads, finish nothing. I shall follow this with interest. Do you think it is about establishing habits?

Hello and welcome Schooldays 😊

The trick to keeping on course is to find a way of eating that is enjoyable and sustaining, no gimmicky ‘diets’ or drastic starvation, just eating good food and in sufficient quantity.

Nothing beats joining in with forum events and activities for motivation, especially the Daily Diary and the Group Weigh-in’s. Have a look at the Whats Happening Chat Thread for a full list
