Feeling proud after first day 😁

So I signed up on Saturday night after a day of being very lazy and gorging on absolute junk. I went to bed that night feeling disgusted with myself. So whilst in bed I found the NHS plan and this app and thought I would give it a go. Had been looking at restarting the new WW plan but seems rather expensive just now and on the run up to Christmas I thought best keep my cash.

Anyway I am 3 stone overweight with a BMI of 30. I was at the DR Last week for a thyroid check where I was weighed and she calculated my BMI. I’ve felt awful about myself for a long time and instead of doing anything about it I’ve just kept eating rubbish and not doing any exercise and hiding away.

Yesterday I started my healthy eating plan. I looked up healthy recipes and went shopping to stock up. I prepared healthy lunches for work this week and I went on a 45minute walk yesterday, something I’ve not done in a long time. I felt great yesterday and so positive it was a lovely feeling! I am a working mum so time is not on my side however I plan to go walking 3 times this week for 20/30minutes and hopefully take it from there. Fingers crossed I can keep this up this time and reach my goal!!

That is great, you have made a start. I like the 12 week NHS weight loss plan. If it was me, I would think about the first 7lb rather than the whole amount and just chip away at it. Have a good day, srwatson .

Sounds like you've really flicked a switch and are heading in the right direction now! Fantastic! The weekly weigh in's and daily diary thread are great here for keeping motivated and staying on track. I'm a working mum too, and found this site earlier in the year. It has been wonderful. The people and information I found here have really helped me turn my health right around and helped me lose weight I've given up hope of ever losing.

No need to keep your fingers crossed. Yes you can do it!!!

Take your children for a walk with you . I live near a school . My neighbours drive their children to that school. Kids love a walk in the woods with a little snack packed and some twigs / leaves to make a collage with . Also get that hour on your own . I do gym class at 8pm so get in a habit - hard at first but even once a week built into your busy routine will help you shed the weight . Whilst you are at the class - averts snacking . Come home and you won't want to undo the effort. Good luck. Starting is hard and carrying on with no plan is near impossible

Well you've made a good start coming on here and a great start on your plans especially getting meals for work for a week sorted. Good luck and joining in a weigh in helps and you'll get plenty of support. Wednesday wobble warriors opens at 9pm tonight if you want to join us. All days start at 9 pm day before to 9 pm on day to allow for overseas members

Yes I’ve managed to walk the last 3 days and I’ve felt great for it. I’ve also been eating very well and trying new recipes out. So far I’m feeling great, more energy and positive outlook which is great. I just hope it continues!
