Well I had planned to get up and about before work and go for a brisk walk to start my day. I have had a sore throat that has gradually got worse, I feel awful today so ended up ringing in sick and no walk for me!
My overall plan is to eat more fruit and veg, stick to 3 healthy meals a day and stick to a daily walk.
The things I need to really cut down on are chocolate and crisps! I can easily eat family size packs to myself and dread to think about the salt and sugar content! I find with foods like this I am all or nothing, I can't just have a little bit. So to cut them out all together I think would be the best way to go. Would love to hear any suggestions for healthy alternatives!
So as I am stuck inside today I will use my day to browse the site and find healthy meal ideas.
We all know ourselves and, if you're an all or nothing type, then you may well be best cutting them altogether.
As you're stuck at home, looking after yourself I hope, you can do some exploring of the forum. Why not join today's weigh in, and start doing some meal planning for the next few days, with the help of the Daily Diary. I found cutting them out, except for a wee treat occasionally, was the way to go. I do have to buy them for hubby, divorce after 54 years is not the way to go. So long as they are out of sight, then they are out of mind!
I do all ow myself a packet of Rich Tea finger biscuits, which I keep in my own container. A packet usually lasts me well over a week, and at 22 calories each, they are not going to do too much damage to my diet.
