Need motivation.

Hello, everyone. How are you all doing on this fine day?

I’m just posting to ask if anyone has any ways in which I can gain motivation for weight loss. If so, please just comment below. I know weight loss it’s self should be motivation, but it’s just not enough for a head start.

There's an underlying assumption in your question: losing weight is horribly unpleasant and difficult, and therefore requires a Herculean dose of motivation.

Losing weight is certainly rewarding in and of itself, but if that isn't sufficient, the lifestyle change that drives weightloss - eating healthy, filling, tasty meals - makes you feel good.

If losing weight is unpleasant and difficult, it's because you're doing it wrong :)

Hi and welcome, Paladan11 :)

You have to think about why you want to lose weight. Is it because you want to improve your health? Do you feel uncomfortable in your clothes? Are everyday tasks difficult. Is your body complaining about carrying the extra weight?

Motivation comes from within, but you can be a regular visitor to the forum and find lots of inspiration.

Follow this link to our chat thread and a list of all the activities we run. We've found active participation to be key to success, especially with our weigh-ins and Daily Diary.

Hi, Paladan11 , welcome.

Weight-loss is not all about masochism and motivation... you can "slim smart" instead of trying hard. You do not even have to count calories (but it might help for a start).

Many of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Eating All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
