Well done Hoops501 πππ are you planning on joining a Group Weigh-in? Hereβs the link, healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
remember on the weigh in you are writing in the reply box. If you click on βwriteβ and have a heading then itβs a new post π
In what way in particular was it difficult? Thatβs quite a big loss, are you eating enough?
Hi yes definitely eating enough, and only lost ( I say only) 2.25lbs this week, every pound has to be fought for. I guess I found it harder to stay motivated and keep on with the healthy options, wanted desperately to cheat a couple of days. Also I am incorporating walking with my healthy eating. I'm no longer really fit enough to do any form of rigorous exercise so walking suits me. Have gone up from 6k steps per day to 10k steps, but were new shoes to work one day and formed such a large blister on my heel, haven't been able to walk on it for 2 days now. I know how easy it is for habits to slip !
And apologies, I clearly didn't post my weigh in correctly. Posted it as a new post instead of a reply
If you feel like cheating that suggests you arenβt feeling totally satisfied with your food choices. π. Have you seen the Daily Diary? Itβs where our members give and receive support with their meal choices, lots of food chat and recipe ideas. Itβs great for planning and also helps resolve π
Make sure to post on next Thursday's weigh-in, Hoops501 and say your loss is for a fortnight
Just in case you were having difficulties, this will help you healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Well done on your loss π
Sorry to hear you're finding it more difficult though - what's the hardest part?
Hi, Just staying motivated every day I think. Haven't been able to do my normal walking every day either due to blisters. Really need to have a good talk to myself today and get back on the horse !
Ah yes... It's hard to make those changes and keep to them! Why do you want to lose the weight? For me, telling myself what it was for got me through the patches where I wanted to cheat. But it's still ok to have treats! Just factor them into your calories for your day.
It's a shame about your blisters, they can be so painful! Can you put a plaster on them and try again? I've worn 2 pairs of thin socks sometimes too, then the socks rub against each other and not the foot.
Thanks and yes, I have a huge age gap between my 3 children and so I am nearly 50 now and still have 2 youngish children. I desperately want to still have enough energy to go out and do things with them. This overweight generally means that I am unhealthy, tired and can't keep up with them. It's something that is really important to me to change. The blisters are ok, someone introduced me to Compeed plasters which are a godsend and I'm going to try to get back out there today before I start making excuses to myself!
How old are your youngest 2? Can you include them in your exercises? Especially now it's the holidays.
Yes they are 10 & 11. They do encourage me and especially the 10 year old will come out walking with me pretty much every day, so I've got support & they are brilliant. I just want to be a fun mum for them still rather than a puffing and panting, red faced mum π
