Need some ideas...

Hello

I am new to this group, successfully lost through slimming world a few years back, weight watchers confused the bejeebas out of me.... and now piled back on! so I joined the gym... and now im 9lbs bigger 😅, I went from being fairly sedentary (just dog walking) to 2-3 time a week. It’s stressing me out.

My guess is I’m still eating too much but need some easy healthy breakfast options, I eat scrambled egg and smoked salmon some mornings and I’m going to swap my milk to skimmed but need some new ideas please?

Hi and welcome, Neeselfcontrol :)

I certainly wouldn't be swapping to skimmed milk, it's full fat all the way! We need fat in our diet. If we eat the right foods, we don't need self control, our bodies are self-regulating. Have a look at these and see if they'll be helpful to you healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...

Follow this link to our chat thread and a list of all the activities we run. We've found active participation to be key to success, especially with our weigh-ins and Daily Diary.

Hi there!

Sounds a similar situation to me. Dieting doesn’t work as you put it all back on as soon as your eating habits return.

Have you looked at the LCHF page? This was a game changer for me.... I’m slowly losing my mass and don’t feel hungry!

Good luck.

Agree, skimmed milk is sweet water. Full fat milk has loads of protein, calcium & fills us up.

In my humble opinion weight watchers is massively unhelpful because it tells us we can have treats and be thin - but the half of scrap of chocolate allowed keeps our tastebuds wanting more & was not enough to satisfy us. So we eat more & blow our diet. My experience is giving up all sugar & refined white carbs, and minimising even whole grains, is the way to lose weight painlessly. I’ve always relied on huge amounts of exercise to lose weight, but recent illness hasn’t allowed that in the last month, but my bum has kept shrinking!

I also feel irrationally happy - it might be my bum shrinking but it’s also no sugar I think... and my skin is so much better too.
