Hello and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum Rcz1 😊
Dietary advice seems to change like the wind but most experts now agree sugar is not good, it serves no nutritional purpose and it can be quite addictive, setting off cravings when we try to cut back. If you can go “cold turkey” and cut out sugar, (remember most carbohydrates are also a type of sugar) then the cravings will get easier. For more help with food choices see the Daily Diary 😊

Hi Rcz and welcome.
Firstly, don't fret the lack of exercise. It does help with our overall health and it is going to help you if you can do some but managing what you eat is going to be the primary key to your weight loss journey.
Indigo has given it to you straight about how sugar breeds a desire for more sugar. I've had to remove most carbs (bread, rice, pasta, sugar, cake) from my day to day menu in order to reach a sense of control over my eating habits.
Is that a scary list? Would have been for me only a few months ago! Sometimes it still is but my sense of eating serenity is currently the stronger of the two feelings.
Best of luck!
Don’t buy sugary foods. Buy satsumas and/or other fruit that you like these take away the sugar cravings. Then feel proud that you’ve resisted eating crap. Continue and your body will start craving the fruit instead of the crap!
