Hi and welcome, Joannao :)

There are many different plans being followed by members, the trick is to find a lifestyle that you'll be able to stick to and forget about short term diets. There's a lot of information to be found here and this is where to start.

Follow this link to our chat thread and a list of all the activities we run. We've found active participation to be key to success, especially with our weigh-ins and Daily Diary.

Hi, This is a good place to get help and support. As Moreless said, you need to find a plan that suits you and your life. If one way doesn't work for you or you feel unhappy on it, just change to another way until you find your ideal one that fits and works.

Hi Joannao, welcome. I use the app MyFitnessPal, the free version lets you log food (can also scan bar codes) and calorie count, log fitness activities, log weight and take progress photos. The food logger really helps me as it helps keep an eye on what i do eat, and sometimes has the positive effect of stopping me overeating or snacking as I dont want to see my daily calorie counter go up! The progress photos help remind me how far I have come, as sometimes we don't notice it, so its always nice to go back and say 'wow ive done so well'

fasting also helped me in the initial stages on my weight loss but its worth checking with your Dr first in case this is not right for you. (dont do it over prolonged periods!)

good luck!
