Advice for eating on the go

Hello,

I am wondering whether people have any advice for preparing food when you have a job where you are 'on the go' travelling from place to place.

I'm a self employed gardener and usually have about 2 customer a day - driving about - I end up not packing any food, getting really hangry and grabbing something silly, usually sweet or carby. I have also been known to buy a selection of little vaguely healthy snacks amounting to about 1000 calories!

Any ideas about things that are easy to eat and prepare, when you don't have stuff like a knife and fork, and ideally low-ish carb. Also things that seem to satisfy you if you have a physical job. I would love to hear others' experiences and tips

Thank you!

Genius - of course anything good for a picnic would be perfect! Thanks very much for that.

I used to make bento boxes. Some are a bit time consuming but actually the idea is good, the lunch box with different compartments (with a built in fork) is great for a salad selection/pasta/carrot sticks or a filled pita.
