Is eating all your calories important

On any plan I have followed it is always stressed to me that I must eat all my calories or points to lose weight. The issue for me has always been that because of my weight my allowances are huge in comparison to others and I struggle to reach those daily calorie goals without eating junk. My meals are always fairly healthy with lots of fibre, protein and fruit and veg. Is not eating that extra 1000 calories of junk going to stop me loosing weight. When I think about those folk who have been through a gastric band surgery and their food and calorie intake is severely restricted, you don’t hear any warnings that they are messing up their metabolism or that they aren’t eating enough. Their lack of calories does obviously make them lose weight. Now of course that is an extreme circumstance. I have tried adding butter or increasing portion sizes but still have around 1000 calories a day left by the time the evening comes. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you add some natural fat to your diet, Kenneth, it's extremely easy to increase the calories, without increasing bulk.

Or, you can do away with calorie counting and follow the LCHF plan.
