Trying again

Hi all, I have just started again. I need to lose about 20 kilos as my knee is playing up. I so hope that this time I resist.

Are there any exercises I can do for my knee? I have an initial altrosi on the knee.

Thank you for any suggestions

Welcome back to the forum francilondon,

I see it was some time ago you were here and I am sure there have been many changes, so here is our Newbie pack to help you to navigate around the forum,

Please also read this information about Internet Security, especially as you have left your post unlocked,

Take a look at our chat thread to see all that we have on offer to help to keep you motivated and involved with the forum,

We are not medically trained and I would not like to give you any advice about exercises for your knee incase it caused you damage. Maybe you could talk to your Doctor and ask to be referred to a physio who would be able to give you the correct exercises to do.

Wishing you good luck :)

me too! 20kg - and my knee, and just come back (after a brief visit a few weeks ago). I hope I stick it out. Need to drink more water for a start (never feel thirsty). Lest's see what happens... Good luck to us!

thanks :-) am a bit sceptical about the forum as yet ... not sure I trust the NHS (psst don't tell) ... I am afraid I don't have a clue about firefly; I just gobbled something together with aspects of my name and my chosen location :-) now happy losing... :-)

That’s the main thing, that you’re eating well and losing weight 😊

This is a peer to peer support group, supporting the NHS 12 Week plan, but we aren’t paid by the NHS nor do we have any agenda, just friendly chat and encouragement

As you may have guessed Shepherd Book is a character from Firefly . . . but just a coincidence 😊

yes good luck shepherdbuk, I have just discovered an app called myfitnesspal which helps me count the calories I eat during the day. You have probably heard of it already. I recommend it. Its absolutely fantastic and helps me stick to the calories I need to eat and the amount of water I'm drinking.
