Morning all. What’s the advice about tinned fruit. I’ve got into fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, but if I run out of fresh fruit, is it ok to have some standby fruit in cans (in juice not syrup)?

I would prefer to keep frozen berries, as they'll contain less sugar than tinned fruit, even that in juice.
Do you know, frozen berries didn’t even occur to me!
Thanks, I’ll get a load.

Personally I have no problem doing this (especially with tinned pineapple, yum) but I do check the calorie count on the can, and I drain the juice away as it's still quite calorifically sweet. (I offer it to my skinny family or use it in a recipe later - sweet and sour is a fave!)

I’d do frozen berries and not on an empty stomach as fruit really spikes insulin.
I use frozen berries in my porridge but I do have tinned fruit in juice quite often I just count the calories and find the sweetness can curb my cravings for other sweet treats
