I'm planning on going on a 1400 calories diet plan. I'm allergic to milk, white bread, brown bread, most cereal, soy, and lots of other stuff . I've been looking for 1400 vegan recipes but not having any luck. Can anyone please recommend or share any vegan recipes meals, dinners or lunches with me I would be most grateful.
I've got 6 stones to lose and I'm doing the Couch to 5K with Laura, I'm doing W5R3 tomorrow. Having the right amount of calories will help.
Many thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum, and it's great that you're doing the Couch to 5k with Laura, and I hope you enjoy your W5R3 tomorrow.
Regarding Vegan recipes, I was wondering if you'd seen these NHS Choices link pages, as they do seem relevant, and the second one (The Vegan Society) enables you to look for specific recipes - I've not actually tried it, but am sure it is hopefully easy to use.
Please do have a read of our Pinned posts - especially the Welcome Newbie post. The Pinned posts are on the right-hand-side of the homepage - top corner, and there are also some Challenges going on, and a Monday group weigh-in - see below the Pinned posts in the Events section for details of that.
Good luck in finding some suitable recipes, and enjoy your weight loss journey. Hope to see you around and about in the forum, and enjoy your run tomorrow!
I'm vegan - but was a bit of a junk food vegan. I only started the weight loss programme last weekend. My husband's just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes which was a bit of a wake-up call for us.
We found the diabetes uk website really helpful. There's a huge recipe section and you can search for vegan recipes. I've printed them off and put them in a display book to turn them into a healthy recipe book. The recipes are easy to follow, give you rough preparation and cooking times and have plenty of nutritional info including calories and carbs.
Hi there, I am vegan and find I can have quite a few more calories than 1400 and I am sure you will be able to if you have 6 stones to lose. It is important to eat enough calories to maintain a healthy metabolism and to maximise your nutrients.
As for recipes, I tend to just wing it! I have a lot of stir-fries, vegetable curries (I just add a few herbs and spices for flavour), hearty soups, roast potatoes and veggies with vegan gravy, lots of fruit. I quite often have peanut butter, avocado or hummus sandwiches (look for quinoa wraps and rye bread for your allergies) for lunch and something heartier for dinner. For breakfast I have fridge porridge which is oats soaked in hazelnut milk and some dried fruit, nuts and seeds.
Google "vegan recipes" and loads will come up. Oh, I found it so very, very useful to get an Instant Pot pressure cooker and there are loads of vegan recipes for that as well.
I have lost over 6 stone since I started last September and I have never gone below 1500 calories a day and quite often eat 1700 calories. Oh, and I supplement with B12, iron (I have had anaemia long before I became vegan), and a multi vitamin just to be on the safe side.
I hope this helps, but ask if there is anything else you want to know.
Also - well done on your success with C25K - you are doing brilliantly, especially with 6 stone of excess weight!
Google vegan recipes, always get results that way! Also google the happy pair - vegan cooks in Ireland who have a cafe, shop and most importantly, recipes on their website! Good luck😀
Thank you to each and everyone of you for your replies and great recipes it is so appreciated. I'm loving the diabetic recipes too though my blood sugar is clean has always been as my doctor told me, my cholesterol level is 3.9 which is class as zero my doctor made me have a full blood work and to check out my cholesterol and was shocked and surprised in a good way when the results came back because of being so over weight 6 stones.
People automatically think you are eating lots of sweet and chocolates but in reality most of the times I'm on a raw diet of just fruits, nuts and vegetables, don't drink no alcohol, tea, coffee, sugary drinks except for water only pig out on 2 cream slices and have 2 can of coke once a week on a Sunday.
I've always had hormone problems so I think my weight is down to that. I knew my doctor would be surprised when my results came back the fact also before the C25k I was doing long distant walking for two hours 5-6 days a week the weight just weren't dropping perhaps not eating enough my body was keeping the weight but since doing the c25k and following a diet I've lost 2lbs this week and believe perhaps my body will start losing the weight. I did managed to lose 9lbs but then everything just stopped no matter what I was doing but I believe following a sensible diet with my running hopefully I will achieve my goal of 8 stones ideal weight.
