As most people I am mega busy and struggle to find time to swim, go to a fitness class etc...I want to do some exercise at home in short bursts. I do have an exercise bike but want to mix the exercise up a bit, does anyone have any ideas of what I can do at home. Many thanks.

I really liked the body project low impact aerobic workouts. I just put them on you tube on the PC and crack on! I've also done interval and tabata workouts from other fitness instructors, but I just particularly enjoyed the teaching style of the body project couple.

I much prefer to incorporate more movement and exercise into my life than drive to a gym. If you look in Topics in the Exercise section see lots of posts about how to increase your exercise 😊

Another helpful source for short, intense home workouts is the Body Coach on Youtube. He has videos for different fitness levels, low-impact stuff, no-equipment workouts... A bit of everything.

I've recently found a free website called fitnessblender.com it lets you filter by what you're looking for and then links you up to youtube videos, it is great for finding just what you want.

There was a time when getting out of my rise and recline chair without using the "rise" function was most of the exercise I got, but I can now walk. When I was fit I cycled 15,000 miles a year and did step aerobics at home.

If you commute, could you do some of the distance "under your own steam"?

Not what you're looking for?
