Hi Marc,

You've been given lots of advice in previous posts, not least to address your undereating and increase your calorie intake by 100% probably, the NHS BMI calculator will advise and to stop eating foods that will trigger an insulin response, such as Muller Rice!

As someone with T2 diabetes, you should be following these guidelines

phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...

and I suggest you pop over to this forum for further advice healthunlocked.com/lchf-diet

A plateau is not 3 days without losing weight, either, you'll only see the sort of weight loss that you have, at the beginning of your journey, when you'll be losing a lot of water and when you seriously reduce your input, before your body wakes up and does something drastic to halt that loss. You should expect to see approximately 1lb loss per week and that's not guaranteed either.

I hope this helps.

I see in your post history you’re only eating 1200 calories a day. That’s why you’re plateauing - because your body is storing fat through starvation and doesn’t work in the long run. You’ll find it hard to lose consistently and hard to keep off the weight eating that little. You need to increase your calorie intake gradually (probably by at least 1000 calories. For someone of your height and weight I wouldn’t recommend eating below 2000

It is hard to understand that eating too little means you don't loose weight consistently but our brains are very clever they know there is a famine approaching and holds on to what is available. These guys know what they are talking about and I have increased my intake to mid range of my allowance and am still loosing after a 3 week slow period.

I have to agree with all the other comments that you don't seem to be eating enough. I can't see on any of your posts where you have said you have run the BMI calculator and given a calorie range you should be eating within? Have you done this? I would advise using it as a starting point at least!

Am I right in thinking that is 5 lb a week for 4 weeks? That is a heck of a lot. It cannot be sustainable no wonder your weightloss seems to have stopped!. It must be disheartening. Really, all is not lost (if you excuse the pun). Resolve to find a way to make a lasting change.

The other replies have given you some excellent advice. Eat more and eat better!

The daily diary has some really good ideas about other peoples' menus. There are so many ideas and so much experience of sustained weighloss/healthy living -its like having you own dietician!

It doesn't have to be expensive or time consuming and you and everyones input is genuinly welcomed and valued. If a daily diary for the whole day is too daunting what about posting one meal a day to begin with or only posting at a weekend?

Not what you're looking for?
