Hello! 20 yrs ago my weight got a bit out of hand and I’m happy to say I lost the weight and have never quite been Back There...however I feel like I’ve been gaining and losing the same stone ever since and now, in my 50s, it’s really beginning to matter as I’ve got some early signs of arthritis and it feels like the pain literally switches on when I hit 5lb over my target weight. I just hit that 5lb mark again and am DETERMINED a. To lose it again before Christmas and b. To have a fun, indulgent but NOT complete blow-out of a festive season.
So...first challenge today, big pub Sunday lunch with family, had roast chicken, plenty of the less fattening veg, just the one roast potato, no pudding (even though everyone else had one, well chuffed with myself there) and one glass of wine (nearly caused a big spill putting hand over glass as people attempted to top me up).
Amazing how making a commitment to people you’ve never met seems to work! Will weigh in on the 5th and see if it really is only 5lb I have to lose...
