Good morning all.

I would like share my thoughts with you for this moment.

I really appreciate all my support from this group.

It is that that is keeping me focued.

I have structure first thing every day and it is you and me.

Thankyou so much.

My thought for today after reading some posts is this.....

I have tried so many different fads, trends, diets over my half centary on this planet.

At the time I have lost upto 2 stone.

A great achievemnt at the time.

AT THE TIME.

It was short lived.

NONE OF THEM HAVE WORKED LONG TERM.

I have accepted this- acceptance. I am now there. Thank youand goodness.

The only way to have a happy and healthy 2nd half centery is to eat healthy food, get my body moving and occationally an unhealty food.

To those of you who are in the same place.

I am here too.

It's nice to meet you.

Trust the process. It works.

Thankyou NHS

It takes most of us a long time to get to this place, NG18, but it's such a relief when we do! We now know that we can maintain our losses, long term, peacefully :)

Absolutely we have to live life with family and friends without being down on ourselves al the time, that nagging guilt in your head grinds you down to failure. (Did for me, like reverse negative psychology.)

My last encounter with SW was awful, sat in a room full of aged 50+ ladies becoming more negative, self destructing by losing 0.5lb then putting 2 on! It was crazy to be on that wagon in fact in the first three weeks I gained weight with free eating, what was that all about! And I was trying to lose weight for my wedding in Sept 2017, it just wast working!

Here and now with the help of this site and all you lovely people I am on top of it! So much better - 10lbs down, looking forward to a stone, then 10% of my body weight! Bring it on! 😈

So true, definitely no quick fix.

I feel so much better in both body and mind for living a get by lifestyle.

Totally agree. I have found for me it was my mindset which needed to be altered. I was on a 'diet' a few years ago and hated it. I used to say things like 'I can't wait to stop this diet and be able to eat muffins again'....that right there should have been warning sign this wasn't going to work.

This time around I've changed my way of thinking. I know this is for the long haul and I perfectly happy to continue eating the way I am eating forever. I would say for me the most important part was my way of thinking. Allowing unhealthy food in my life in moderation and guilt free...with the majority of the food I eat being healthy Whole Foods :-)

Absolutely, I had an amazing Custard Slice yesterday and enjoyed every mouthful! One treat, no regrets - eat healthy, and exercise the rest of the week.
