Hello - I have been hovering around this site for a few weeks because I am not a naturally "get involved" person. So here goes...

I am going to be 38 soon, and I want to get my health and fitness in check. I am 5'1" , weigh around 10st 4lb. I have piled on quite a bit of weight after a difficult a couple of years (at my heaviest I was almost 11st). I have always been fairly slim so take my health for granted. I had a cancer scare (after an aunt died of cancer) which made me spiral (the 11st...)

I am now feeling much better within myself. I've joined a gym and go to bootcamp 3 times a week. The physical activity makes me feel much better (who knew...)

I am a single parent, work f/t - in the past, I managed both badly (and ended up on anti-depressants just to cope) but I am learning to let go and deal with each day as it comes.

I will be joining the Monday weigh in. But wanted to say hello....
