WORD FOR THE DAY

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Yes cheritorrox you are right. When someone returns a smile it makes up for all the scowls you sometimes get. I try to smile at everyone in the supermarket - this does tend to draw the attention of security however.

I work in a supermarket and we have to smile at everyone lol some of them look like they are serial killers when they smile 😊

The customers or the workers 😊

Both sometimes lol but mainly the people I work with! Some of the customers don’t look like they know how to smile let alone do it, it’s amazing how some people look like they want to kill you when they come to ask you for help.

Haha sometime you want to kill them other ways but with love would upset them more lol.

Of course the real challenge is to try this on sulky-looking teenagers..... I say "Hola" to nearly everyone I meet in the Pueblo and most reciprocate - especially the older people- but the youngsters pretend not to see me unless they're walking a dog or a baby sister when it's apparently acceptable!
