why wont it shift?

New to this site - trying anything and anyone that can help. I am the wrong side of 25 stone and I cant seem to shift the pounds. I have cut out all cakes, biscuits, chocolates, takeaways and all of that. I have increased my protein. I drink 3 litres of water a day. I have started to move around as much as I can and am on 4,500 steps a day. What else can I do? I cant believe that at my weight the pounds dont come off?

Hi and welcome, iadorelabs :)

Without knowing exactly what you are eating, it's difficult to know how to help you specifically, so I suggest you log your menus on our Daily Diary. You also need to find out what your calorie allowance is, on the NHS BMI calculator. Eating too little is as bad as eating too much.

Increasing your protein is unnecessary, unless you're body building, as any excess to requirements, which are surprisingly low, will be stored as fat.

You do need to be aware of the types of food that you're eating and it may be that this would be a better approach for you? phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...

As Moreless suggests, without knowing more about what you are eating it’s hard to comment, but many many people on this forum have successfully lost weight so please read all the information and just ask if you have any questions

Try cutting out carbs for two weeks you might be surprised what happens good luck Gail

I agree with by bungie having just lost 60 pounds in 4 months on low carb (60g) AND reduced calorie (1100-1300)

Also , try to lift weights with your arms and focus on core strength. Your body will already have string legs from carrying around additional weight .
