Some times it is hard. Perhaps you could write a list of all the reasons why you want to be healthy. I am 59 and the menopause was a long affair with lots of comfort eating and low energy levels for me so maybe this could be impactng you? I have started to walk regularly and find it lifts my mood and helps me to focus on feeling more active. Allow yourself a treat in your allowance and enjoy it . Good luck.

It’s worth it......just remember how you felt before the diet.....at these times just let brain take over, feelings will catch up.

That is so true and resonates with me.

Food does not bring happiness if we eat too much of it.....need a t shirt with that on.:)

Hello 50 plus! Exercise starts with just one step and before you know it the chances are that you will feel more motivated as the endorphins kick in. When I feel like the last thing I want to do is exercise, the best thing is finding a reason to walk (to the shops, to see a friend etc) although these days I don't need a reason as we have 3 dogs who need regular walking. Hope this helps rather than puts you off. :-)

Thanks I have a dog to but she only needs a small walk. I did my little run and exercise then walked my little doggy for my cool down .

Sounds good enough to me - it isn't all about running marathons and becoming gym bunnies, is it? (although I admire those who can do that. ) Walking is one of the best exercises to do and another plus is that you don't need specialist equipment just a good pair of shoes. :-)
