First time for this

First time I've ever had 7 days exercise. Feel good about that. Just need to get more determined with my food and I might stand chance of some success. I need to do the exerciseto strengthen my back as its so weak but weight loss would really help. Need to get into that mind set with my food. Any recommendations?

Well done, Jof, that's great news and I hope you'll be logging all those lovely steps on our exercise challenges! :)

It's always best to get advice from your GP/physio, for specific exercise assistance, as none of us is qualified and would hate to see you exacerbate any problems you may already have.

Log onto the Daily Diary, as it's all about menu planning and food advice :)

Thanks. I go to osteopath regularly with my back it's been ongoing for years but have ups and downs at moment trying to strengthen it makes it worse so walking more to stabalise out is only thing I can do to get back on track with it. So I really need to keep using that as motivation for moving more. I'm still getting used to my way around the site at moment. I thought I'd jump in with a post and keep trying to work my way around it. Hopefully I'll master it soon enough

As long as you can find the newbie pack, you'll be able to find everything :)

Keep up the great work :)

Well done Jof84. It is such a lovely feeling when a goal is achieved after a lot of work. On the food front I just aim to keep within the calories as specified for me on the BMI calculator. I make sure I have 3 decent meals a day, which has stopped my grazing on the hoof. I haven’t cut anything out except have smaller portions. With the exception of semi skimmed milk, I don’t use low fat/low sugar products and still treat myself to a cornetto, scone etc approx 3 times a week - If i have the allowance. I have made a number of meals from the recipes our members have put onto this forum- all delicious 🤤 Suggest you have a look at the recipes. Finally, I am happy to have a slow weight loss and acceptance of this has stopped me binging because I use to get down in the dumps if I didn’t lose loads in one week. I will get there and this time next year I should be almost at target. Watch this space 😁. Keep up the good work and have a great week 👍

Good advice especially for someone like me as soon as I think diet I was binge food. Allowing yourself those trays working reason will help keep on track

Your fit bit record is great. It is so hard to get those active minutes up; you’re doing a really good job.

Thanks I've always been better at exercise than diet bit. Since having my son it's been harder to find time. I need to stop finding excuses and get moving for me and ultimately my future with him. It does mean early starts at the weekend and some later evenings but it will be worth it in the end.
