Porridge or anything oat based is a good breakfast cereal and you could add in bran and fruit for extra fibre but, if you have any continuing symptom like constipation, it would be best to speak to a pharmacist or your GP for advice.

Are you here because you'd like to lose weight?

Thank you, BridgeGirl! That was a fast response. I will try some oatmeal

with fruit 🍌 sounds good.

Lots of water, prunes and chia seeds on your porrige. Also walking is really good to help digestive movement. If it’s really bad take a Fybogel sachet which is fairly gentle

But try to include plenty of fibre in your diet, vegetables, fruit and salad 😊

Plenty of water, too, especially in this hot weather

If you are looking at calories and counting on cereal, i always find they can be as high as having something like scrambled egg, tomato and mushrooms.

I'd have never have thought this - thinking oats, porridge, even cereals as more healthy but actually, the other option is as good!

Anything whole grain and high in fibre... but many people have gluten intolerance.

Even cereals like "Corn Flakes" and "rice crispies" have gluten!

Your scrambled eggs, tomatoes & mushrooms sound yummy, too. Since I also need digestive help, I may be able to alternate your breakfast

with that of BridgeGirl & IndigoBlue61& have a nice variety for the week.

Thank you, Steelad for your creative suggestion.

Hi Akamane

Do you know what is causing the problem? Sometimes it's as simple as identifying what you are eating, not eating or drinking or doing to help you move forwards... Not drinking enough during the day is a classic for causing this, if you've had it for longer than 2-3 days please seek medical advice. Wishing you better days ahead... and a solution to your problem.

Are you joining us to lose weight? If so, please have a slow read of the newbie post - I call it the sat-Navagon to the forum benefits..

Cheering you on for better days ahead 🎉🎉🎉

Half an avocado on wholemeal toast ought to be considered too. Despite being calorific, owing to its unsaturated fat content, avocado is also a surprisingly good source of fibre too.

That sounds like a good healthy breakfast also. I will try that,

MrNiceGuy. Thanks for your help.

hi Weetabix x2 works for me (pardon the pun!) and I like it because it is a measured portion too. 😉
