Healthy snacks
Today I bought Houmous and some carrots to chop 😋
Hi, I have been doing intermittent fasting and skipping dinner, but since the gyms start to open here I usually take a no sweetened yogurt in the evening. Less calories, more proteins and probiotics. If you prefer Vegan there should be similar products.
You can roast some chickpeas with spices, you can make your own popcorn or get the tesco bags, also frozen fruit. The lentil curls crisps from Tesco are also ok. (I’m on ww so I’m telling you the things that i have worked out are not many points for my system). Also have a glass of water and brush your teeth, you mught find that you dont want them so much after.
My advice would be to try and go cold turkey, when it comes to snacking. Make a cup of tea when you have cravings, and wait for them to pass. Snacking is a habit, and habits can be broken. It’s not easy, but nothing worth having or doing ever is! Good luck anyway.
Eat more at dinner, so you don't get hungry in the evening.
Take up knitting, so your hands are occupied.
Hi and welcome, Chimp1, Saura81 and Couchpotato2
I'm afraid I'm with Trimmerteacher and Subtle_badger here. Snacking of any kind isn't healthy and if you eat enough in your main meals, especially healthy fats, you'll find it isn't necessary. It will keep you in fat storage mode and out of fat burning mode.

All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
Wishing you all the best
In the evening time, take snacks that don't have carbs or sugar. Proteins and salad may be taken . Dinner should be around 3 hours before going to bed. Better not to take processed snacks, homemade snacks are the best options like slices of cucumber, celery sticks, roasted nuts, roasted black chickpea .These are vegetarian choices .
Decaf coffee ❤️
Thanks all for your advise, I will get on track.
I endorse Couchpotato's recommendation: brush your teeth straight after pm meal - it's working for me - I can now watch my OH munching crisps etc and it no longer bothers me.
A few Sugar Snap Peas on their own usually does it for me. Just to take the edge off if needed. Hope you find something that suits you.
Hello and welcome back Dilemma1 😊 How are things going?
In case you need a refresh please read Pinned Posts here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... as quite a few things have changed
As you may remember, this is a very busy forum with lots going on, and nothing beats joining in, reading posts and replying to others. Our group Weigh-in and the Daily Diary are probably the best places to start. Regular forum involvement is probably the best thing you can do to help with your weight loss and health improvement
Best wishes in your weight loss journey

As others are saying, make your previous meal as filling as possible with protein and healthy fats. If I get a snack urge, I have a late dessert of berries with a dollop of full fat greek yoghurt or double cream.
Once a week or so, (film night!) I have a bowl of salted popcorn. Low calorie and high volume keeps me satisfied. You can get propercorn packs in Tesco, 40 calories a packet.
