I know you said you were eating at the lower end of your calorie range. It is a range for a reason, and maybe for now it would be better for you to go mid range or higher, and make sure you include foods which keep you feeling full for as long as possible to see if that curbs the binging.

I'm not hungry when I binge sometimes I'm tired I think that's what triggers it and my love of chocolate

Tiredness is proven to make us hungrier and to crave high fat/high sugar foods. I think knowing this can help 😊

Good advice from MissisB. Also it's not so easy to binge if you've thrown out all of the naughty stuff, always take a shopping list when food shopping and only take money out with you when it is essential so it's harder to impulse buy unhealthy treats. I had to work very hard on combating guilty feelings so I know where you're coming from there. Just keep trying and be kinder to yourself when you slip up x

Hi Hidden , the bingeing won't be "for no reason". Whether it's hunger, boredom, tiredness, emotional factors, try and pin it down and deal with the cause in an appropriate non-food way.

It's not inevitable and it doesn't have to be permanent.

I see you've replied to MissisB saying you aren't hungry at these times, but why not try increasing you calorie intake anyway and seeing if that makes a difference?

The only other thing I can suggest is that you don't have chocolate in the house, so if you do feel the need to eat between meals, you have to find a healthy alternative.

Oh this is 100% me! Except that I would always make up a silly reason :P

However, since I've joined this forum I can't just think "oh I'll restart tomorrow or next week" because I know I'll have to post my weight when Tuesday comes around.

There's nothing like a bit of accountability to stop a spiral!

I can see you're new so just keep using the forum. I haven't had a proper binge since I joined (although I have had a few wavering moments!!).

Good luck with everything, hope you manage to figure out what's causing your binges and overcome them.

Not what you're looking for?
