have 2st 4 lbs 😱😱 am shocked! Also it advises to be on 1400 Cals. I did loose weight with Lighter Life Lite originally and worked very well at the time! (5 years back!)
Q: Should I go back to start the motivation of loosing a few lbs quickly and then start the NHS lifestyle ?
Q Or. ... just follow the plan straight away ?
My hubby has also taken the bmi calculator and has 4 stone (but he didn’t like hearing that )!

Firstly, 1400 calories is the generic number, designed for the average woman and may not be correct for you. I advise putting your details into the calculator, for a more personalised range.
As the Lighter Life had no long term benefits, I wouldn't try that approach again. In my humble opinion, far better to change your lifestyle to something that's sustainable and halt the yoyo dieting.

When you ran the NHS BMI calculator, apart from providing your BMI it would have also provided you with a calorie range at which you can lose weight sensibly.
My suggestion would be in line with moreless, which is follow the healthy lifestyle, from the beginning, that you want to be able to keep to. Like most things in life, there are rarely any 'real' shortcuts.
Hi Wavedancer81 , it's great you and your husband are doing this together. You just need to adjust your portion sizes according to your calorie range.
I'm assuming 1400 is the bottom of your range. As the others have said, you're better starting near the top. If you're doubtful, why don't you both give it a go for 3-4 weeks and see how it works?
Just checked where I read 1400 cals and it was in the front page week1, but the have also checked the bmi again... and that advises a bmi 26.7 : a range of 8st 6lbs to 11st 6lbs in reality I would like to be 10st 8lbs or at least in 10 stone! Cal read as 1584 to 2036 . So will change from 1400 to 1584 Cals ( I use my fitness pal ) .
So with the nhs, it’s a portion on a small plate and stop when no longer hungry and choosing healthy foods as advised on week 1 (portion distortion, fill up with fibre. I already do loads of exercise (18holes of golf 3-4 times a week and gym weights 3 times a week with a PT - who is mean and makes me do it 😂) . Drink water .
