I also suffer with IBS but have found since changing my way of eating it has improved greatly.
I have cut down on bread, pasta and rice. I know I need a bit of these things from time to time, but I certainly don't need as much.
I don't know if you are familiar with the FODMAP diet, but if not here is the link to it:

Take a look and see if you can change things around a bit using their advice. I know it may not all apply to you, but some of it might.
Thanks. Yes I do follow Fodmap when it flares up but I do like my green veg so quite restrictive
Bought apples today first time in ages so will see how it goes down
