hello Beccorsar and welcome! if you must eat chocolate, I recommend just a bite of dark chocolate as it will satisfy the craving with just a little bit. I myself have to go cold turkey on the chocolate as I will be eating a ton if I start. which I did yesterday. anyway, so goes that. I like to snack on pretzels as they are low fat and crunchy which is another thing I crave, salty and crunchy. I also like pita chips and salsa or lots of fruit which is helping my sugar cravings. good luck to you and welcome to this lovely forum!

Welcome and enjoy the forum...

If you chose to count calories, as long as you count everything you eat, then nothing is off the menu.. I too love chocolate and have swapped to dark chocolate.. I buy a packet of 5 bars - each are 25gms, and average at 140 calories... loving the dark chilli chocolate at the moment!!

Hello Beccorsar84 and welcome :)

Don't set out on this thinking in terms of what you can't do/have. You can include what you like in your daily calorie allowance, but clearly all calories are not the same in the nutrition your body will draw from them.

You could give some thought to how often/when you have sweets, snacks, chocs etc. and work out if there's a common thread. It may be because your meals are not filling enough or it may be out of habit (or a bit of both ;) ). When you know the reason, if you still want to eat more healthily, the changes you need to make will be obvious to you.

Good luck :)

Hello and welcome 😀

I personally prefer not to snack so I can eat more generous meals.

Whilst it’s a matter of personal choice how we ‘spend’ our calories, we should be eating 80-90% of these as nutritional foods.
